This home does have nice things: location in the Country Club with mountain views, good beds, stocked kitchen(except for needed Margarita glasses that owner had a printed note telling renters not to use"for decorative use only") ,and a well-thought library,but had each book inventoried, even 10 year old magazines had THIS BELONGS TO, pasted on; gave us an uneasy vibe. The disheartening event was we researched the house throughly, as the 3 of us wanted to be sure to have a hot tub to nightly view the stars: Borrego is known best for its dark sky designation.The house, both on VRBO and TurnKey had it noted several times that the home had an indoor pool( useless, as it is waist deep and prior users had it like a sauna),and an outdoor SPA/a hot-tub. We arrived late and eagerly turned on the spa, that was covered and filled with water. We waited an hour, then another, then called the number printed out by the phone. Betty, the property manager did answer and said she would get back to us.She did, the following day saying that it simply hasn't worked for awhile and could not get any technician to fix it. I remarked that all literature regarding the rental promoted the tub/spa in their amenities and that is why we rented that property. Her advise was to call TurnKey,that she would update the info, and that we should certainly get a refund of someamout other than the utility charge for pool use.I choose to call after we left. Elizabeth,at TurnKey,heard my story and said a Supervisor would call me to discuss that the $200 utility fee was not the right recourse for our problem. Now over a month, no refund, no returned call.P.s. the bike had a flat tire, and the shrouds that covered the outdoor furniture were very vey dirty, with no place to store, so they just sat in a big pile. oneMaster sink did not drain : stayed filled with dirty water for still not updated.
