My husband and I met up with our son for a few days at your property on Lake Tahoe. We brought our young grandsons along too. We all enjoyed everything about our stay. The lake view is great, as is the open living room, fireplace, kitchen and dining areas. The bathrooms are all beautiful too. We used the kitchen, deck, grill, board games, television. The beds were comfortable (at least the large beds). The boys loved their bedroom, TV, and bunk beds, and they loved the jetted tub.
We found everything we needed. Without actively birding, I still added a couple of birds to my life list, and the weather was great. We stayed at a very quiet time, so we felt we got in on a well-kept secret. This was a superb place to stay in off season for us (usually our favorite time of year for vacations)! We, and especially the 6- and 8-year-old loved Commons Beach and playing in the snow (both being several miles from the property). We mostly ate in the unit, but there seems to be many places to eat, as well as grocery stores and activities in the area. We didn’t use the pier but when I walked to the shore and out the pier the last day, I wished we had bothered to spend time there earlier in our stay. They are so close and beautiful. We didn’t explore the area. Our purpose was mostly for a milestone celebration and family reunion, and none of wanted to leave your property anyway. We did take the kids one day to Virginia City’s main street, and we had a fun time there. Had we come at another (certain) time, our son says we’d have enjoyed with him a hysterically funny event in VA City where contestants race chickens, camels, and ostriches.
By the way, the furniture and decor are comfortable and beautiful. If we return to this property, the only thing we will do differently is to lengthen our stay!
