While the house was very pretty it was a bit of a hassle because when we arrived the carpets were wet as were the dining room chairs. Though I was given a days refund it was ashore trying to get to talk to someone who was concerned. Called one number to be told they would contact the "Local Team", the gentleman who called from the "local team' wasn't very understanding. He kept saying that we had clean carpets. I told him they should of been scheduled to be cleaned with enough time to dry before occupancy. I wasn't impressed with this gentleman since he was really poor in customer service. I called again because the TV in the living room could not get local channels. When I talked to George again he made me feel like an idiot because he kept saying you should have them. After a while he said he would look into it. He then tells me he researched it on the web and sent me a list of the local channels. ****, I could find the local channels my self on the Web,but he could not understand that I wanted to know what channel on the cable would I find a local channel. I have rented many cabins, condo and houses in my time but this was the worst rental experience I have ever had. There should be a listing of the channels by the TV's, No hot water because the water system was one that I wasn't familiar with. I did call and a plumber came but a service call could of been prevented if there was a note for the renters discussing how to turn the hot water system on if it was off. Also, when the sun hits the windows I was surprised on how dirty they were. It looked like they hadn't been cleaned in at least a couple years. Beautiful home but The rental company could do a way better job of insuring that things are scheduled correctly, a guide book should be in the house on the kitchen counter. I say the little iPad but it didn't contain any of the information that I needed. I'd build a checklist that would contain info for each rental house and its peculiarities.
