Note: this is a salt water pond. The adjoining 8+ acres of conservation land lets you leave the crowds behind. A private landing, steps from the house, brings kayaking, boating, fishing and clamming to your front yard, along with direct access to Pleasant Bay, prime water for sailing, and the Atlantic Ocean. INSIDE THE HOUSE The house offers the easy indoor-outdoor flow of a classic summer home. When you're having a relaxing dinner on the porch watching the sunset after a day at the beach, you'll know what makes Cape Cod so special. The entrance opens up into a hallway, with a tiled kitchen on your left with all appliances and cabinets stocked with all the cookware and utensils you need. The bathrooms were updated in recent years, yet remain in perfect keeping with the classic style of the house. This 1st floor bathroom includes a vanity and walk-in shower. The next room is the 2nd bedroom. You’ll find 2 twin beds with a shared side table and built-in dresser. This is one of several rooms in which you can enjoy gorgeous views— in fact, almost every room at the house has a water view. In the central dining area, dine with loved ones around the inviting wooden table (seats 8). The living area includes a couch and 2 additional chairs (seats 5). Put your tea or coffee on the table and take time out for a movie–there's a wall-mounted 42" LG TV. The home can comfortably sleep 8 however, in can get pretty cozy with all 8 guests. Nearby, the 3rd bedroom includes a king-size bed and plenty of storage. Walk up the stairs and note the rustic wood flooring. The master bedroom includes a king bed, wall lamps, dressers, and lovely elevated views. The updated master bathroom is conveniently located between the 2 bedrooms on this level. It includes a single sink vanity and a shower/tub combination. The 4th bedroom includes 2 twin beds and ample storage. A writing desk is ideal for catching up on news or creative pursuits. With a screened porch, the house faces west for peaceful sunsets and refreshing breezes. Almost every room has a water view. Nauset and Skaket beaches and the Bike Trail are each about four miles by local roads. There are 4 beach chairs and a beach umbrella available for guests to use during their stay. Note: There is now a mini-split for the downstairs and a window AC unit upstairs. (We appreciate your interest and look forward to your stay. Please keep in mind that this property requires a 7-night minimum stay from Late-June through Early-September.) THE LOCATION Strike the ideal balance for both waterfront and beach life! Nauset and Skaket beaches and a local bike trail are all around 4 miles away via local roads. Even better, two freshwater swimming lakes are within a mile on quiet kid-safe lanes. This is a great back-road area for walking, biking, and enjoying nature, yet it's convenient to downtown Orleans and Chatham with their great shopping and restaurants.
