There is a clean and bright beachy theme throughout, making your space fun and relaxing. THE LOCATION Whether you jog, bike, walk, fish, golf, or enjoy water sports, Seawall Boulevard is the center of Galveston’s beach activities. Bring your bikes and enjoy 10 gorgeous miles of Seawall Blvd. or angling fun at nearby 61st Pier. At home, enjoy the pool, and grill your catch in one of several trellised barbeque and picnic areas. There are dozens of great dine-out options for all budgets. Take the trolley to the Strand and sample taffy at King’s Confectionery or stroll through the art galleries and boutiques. Take a horse-drawn carriage ride, or enjoy world-class dining on the waterfront along Harborside and Fisherman’s Wharf (watch for dolphins!). Galveston was named as one of the country’s 20 most walkable cities. Lyft and Uber returned to the island in 2017 and provide economical transportation options, as does the newly-refurbished trolley.
