Great place to stay, exactly as described. Can't wait to return!

This is a charming oceanfront home that is clean, open, and updated with modern conveniences. We loved the private and quiet location, spacious deck, secluded beach, and the ocean living. Close to Ventura, Carpinteria, and Santa Barbara for dining and other activities, although we never really wanted to leave the property. Look forward to returning in the near future.

Everything was very clean when we arrived. Beds and furniture was comfortable and very nicely decorated. We are so happy we could bring our dog and that he could walk with us on the beach. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!The only suggestion I have for TurnKey is to put more information on the "amenities" section of the rental information: there were beach towels and boogie boards at the rental, but was not included on the site. This would have been nice to know so we didn't have to pack those items. Also, the check out information said to start a wash load of towels, but there wasn't a washer and dryer, so that was confusing....looked everywhere but could not find.

A peaceful, cozy, picturesque beach home that has everything you might need... plus plenty of dining space, a good layout, clean, and on a beautiful beach. Be prepared to want to extend your stay. We did!

We have stayed in many vacation homes from Oxnard to Cambria. Without question this is the best. This is the perfect beach house. The description did not do it justice. It was very clean and well maintained. We felt comfortable the second we walked in. Our dog Molly has never been so relaxed or felt more at home. We will be back many times.

We have rented many vacation homes from Oxnard to Cambria and spent much more, but none of them were as peaceful and calming. This is the perfect Beach House. It exceeded the listing description. It was very clean and well maintained. It is the first time our dog Molly was totally at home. Not only will we recommend this property we will be back as often as possible.

This was our first time staying in this home. We absolutely loved it. It was just perfect for my husband and I and our dogs who loved the enclosed yard. You can tell this home is loved with all the special design touches. It had everything we needed. It was close to Ventura for daily adventures. The staff were very helpful when we had a question during our stay. I highly recommend this beautiful home and we hope to come back again.

Hearing the ocean all day and all night was fantastic! The entire house has been updated wonderfully! My parents (70's and 80's in age) got around extremely well, except for going down to the beach-no railing. Yet with an arm and shoulder were able to go down. Amenities were good, extra towels and games to play! The gas grill-excellent!
We will book again and again!

This was a great vacation rental home and we would rent again. The house was in a private gated community right on the beach which was quiet, probably because we went early Autumn and there were literally no other renters next to us or even in most of the community. I can imagine though that in the summer it would be pretty busy and noisy since the homes are very close together with no privacy fence in the back, just all the back patios next to each other. The house was spotless when we arrived and looks to have been newly renovated. There was a nice fenced courtyard in the front with astro turf which was perfect for our dogs, and we also walked them in the front where there were lots of grassy areas. There were plenty of cooking utensils, pots, pans, bake ware, plastic storage bags and containers etc. The bedrooms were very cozy and there were lots of extra blankets for getting cozy on the couch and towels for the bathroom. We really didn't need anything but the food and luggage we brought. They also had a shed in the front with a few beach chairs and boogie boards, an umbrella for the beach and wet suits for kids (could have been a couple wet suits for adults, that would have been nice since we rented paddle boards). The only negatives were that there were no screens on the windows so we were constantly getting bugs in the house, there could have been a few more umbrellas on the patio for additional shade in the afternoon (the patio was in full sun from afternoon to sunset and only one umbrella) and a few of the blinds didn't work. Also, once you take the steps down to the beach there is a very steep drop off to the water which made it impossible for some of us to get to the water without having to go around to the colony access a few houses down. The younger folks were ok with it though. I gave 4 stars for my overall satisfaction because of the negatives I mentioned, but all in all it was an excellent experience.

The pictures don’t do this house justice. The home is much larger than we expected based on the pictures. The kitchen is large and the living room and dining room are open to it which makes the space feel even larger. The home was clean on arrival and everything looks well taken care of and is nicely updated. The kitchen is stocked with everything needed to cook as far as pots, pans and utensils. The deck is perfect and is where we spent most of our time. The fact the home was dog friendly is why we choose it. The home has a really nice fenced front yard so our dogs could run around off leash. Turnkey was perfect to deal with. It’s nice to be able to arrive at the property alone and access the property without any issues. It was in the 80s a few days during our stay. The house does not have air conditioning, but with a few windows open and a breeze it was fine. There are ceiling fans in all the rooms. I wish the patio table had a tilting umbrella so you could tilt it for better shade, but that’s really it. Our stay was perfect. The neighborhood is quiet and private and your only a 5 minute drive to the grocery store. We can’t wait to come back and hope to make it an annual family trip now.

A great escape from the heat in a lovely small bungalow.

Beautiful beach house decorated in a comfortable and welcoming "Hamptons" style. Well-appointed kitchen complete with everything we needed from water pitchers, tableware, coffee maker to a variety of pots and pans. Lovely view, fantastic sunsets and comfortable beds. Can't wait to stay again!

I feel like we found the best kept secret in Southern California. We have two very young children so we were looking for something right on the beach and we found it! We were able to play on the beach with our toddler while our baby napped. My husband and I were able to watch the sunset after we put our kids to bed at 7. The house is well equipped with everything you need to prepare your meals. There are lots of board games, tennis rackets, beach chairs, umbrellas, and wet suits. The house was recently updated and it is immaculate. We didn't leave the property for 2 full days!! On our third day we headed to the santa Barbra zoo in the morning and libbey park in ojai another afternoon. Both were fun places for our 1 & 2 year old children and about 25 min away. It's a very safe, quiet community. We can't wait to return next year and build our family memories and traditions at the beach!

We spent our last four nights of a 3 week holiday here and it was a great choice. Right on the beach, quiet (out the front) and a lovely, tastefully decorated and clean house. Two issues, the rental company never once responded to emails I sent to them both in England and while we were in the USA. They were good at communicating directions of how to enter the property, codes and time etc. But I could never, ever get hold of them. The other issue is the train line - trains run through the night, however we got used to this.

When we arrived at the beach house and opened the curtains, my entire family was quiet for the first time in 10 years. The beach was perfect for swimming, body surfing and building sand castles. Gorgeous sunset dinners on the deck were so memorable. We will definitely be staying here again!

This home is so lovingly cared for and soooo clean. We loved seeing the dolphins make their way down the coast every morning just yards from the shore. We loved watching the pelicans dive for dinner. We absolutely loved our experience there and will definitely be back. The home was exactly as described. It was super comfortable, clean, right on the sand. The neighbors were lovely as well. The home had everything we needed for the beach and the kitchen. It was super comfortable in every way. There were 5 of us.

The management company followed through with their promise to notify us if early check in and Late check out was available. The home was even better than the photos used on the rental listing. It has everything that was promised. We loved the fact that the beach was so unpopulated.

This lovely home provided everything we needed for our family getaway. The location is private, but the shops and restaurants of Ventura are a mere bike ride away. We made a day trip to Santa Barbara, where we were able to arrange a spectacular wine-tasting tour. Other than that, we simply enjoyed our long walks on the beach, swimming and sunning on the deck, playing tennis (the colony has two courts for private use) and falling asleep to the lull of the ocean. The house itself is newly updated, spotless and comfortable. The sunsets and mountain views are just breathtaking. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Truly a beautiful home on a spectacular, private beach. The sunsets over the ocean were breathtaking. The surrounding ocean and mountain views are stunning, as are those of the nearby Channel Islands. My husband and I went on a boat tour there from the nearby Ventura Harbor and were delighted to see schools of dolphins and whales, swimming along side of us. Ventura is a jewel of a city. We dined at award winning restaurants and shopped at the quaint boutiques on Main street. We experienced scenic, coastal drives to Malibu, Santa Barbara, Solvang, and fine wineries; all within a 40-90 mile range. Entertaining activities for all ages, are in abundance. However, once you have settled into this lovely Solimar beach home; you may never want to leave paradise!

This home was truly magnificent! The beach front was breath taking with ocean views and big windows with great views of the green hills on the street side as well. The kitchen was fully furnished with everything that we needed, and we loved the truly "beachy" decor of this home. All the beds were extremely cozy and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised to have a large protected back yard with a barbecue as well that was not even in the pictures! Our children found the shed that had wet suits (several sizes) boogie boards, beach chairs and beach balls. We will definitely come back again to this slice of paradise!

I enjoyed walking on the beach at low tide. The location feels private and remote, but is really close to town for restaurants and shopping. I found the surfing to be best close by at Pitas Point, Mondos, and Emma Wood depending on swell direction. My grandkids enjoyed the play equipment in the park area within this gated community. I really loved the sound of the ocean at night.
